Han Seung-yeon started as a child actress with small roles in films and dramas such as Dear Ends (1993), Summer Showers (1995), and Star in My Heart (1997). After studying briefly in the U.S., she returned to Korea and debuted as the main vocalist of KARA on March 29, 2007, with the album The First Bloooooming.
KARA initially struggled for recognition, but the group rose to major success with hits like “Honey,” “Mister,” “Lupin,” and “Jumping,” becoming one of the leading second-generation girl groups and achieving strong popularity in Japan.
