Shin Eun-soo joined JYP Entertainment as a trainee in 2014. While still training, she auditioned for the female lead in Um Tae-hwa’s fantasy film Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned and was selected from roughly 300 candidates despite having no prior acting experience. She made her debut opposite Kang Dong-won when the film was released in November 2016.
