Ha Yeon-joo made her acting debut in 2008 with the MBC sitcom Here He Comes (Geubun-i Osinda), playing Lee Jae-sook. She soon expanded her visibility as an MC on SBS’s music program Inkigayo in 2009 and appeared frequently on tvN’s Roller Coaster.

Her early television roles included supporting parts in Gloria (2010), Royal Family (2011), and the popular romantic comedy I Need Romance (2011) as Yoon Kang-hee. She continued with Dating Agency: Cyrano (2013), Miss Korea (2013–2014), and a supporting role in the hit film Miss Granny (2014). In 2015 she took on more prominent roles in the daily drama Iron Lady Cha and the thriller Cheo Yong Season 2.

She later starred in Person Who Gives Happiness (2016–2017) and delivered a notable performance as Esther Jang in the 2019 KBS daily drama Left-Handed Wife. After a quieter period, she returned in 2024 with a dual leading role as Lee Hye-ji / Bae Do-eun in The Two Sisters (Pido Nunmuldo Eobshi). In 2025 she appeared in Bitch X Rich Season 2 as Ha Min-hee.
