Go Won-hee began her entertainment career as a commercial model around 2010–2011. In 2012 she became the youngest model ever selected by Asiana Airlines. She had also trained as an idol and was originally set to debut with the girl group Fiestar, but ultimately chose to focus on acting instead.
She made her acting debut in the early 2010s with small roles in film and television, including Natural Burials (2012). Her first notable drama appearance came in the historical series Cruel Palace: War of Flowers (2013).
