Won Ji-an began dreaming of acting in middle school after frequently watching films with a friend. She enrolled in an acting academy, prepared for university entrance, and entered the Korea National University of Arts. Her professional screen debut came in 2021 with a short but impactful role as Moon Young-ok in Netflix’s D.P.. The same year she appeared in the film A Year-End Medley.

In 2022 she took her first leading role as Kyung Da-jung in the web drama Hope or Dope (also known as Juvenile Delinquency / Boy’s Flight) and followed it with a supporting part in the KBS drama If You Wish Upon Me. She earned the Best Rookie Actress award at the 2023 Korea First Brand Awards for the latter.
